About Me

I am a BA (Hons) Sports Journalism graduate from the University of Sunderland looking to find my first job in the football media industry.

Over my three years of studying an NCTJ-accredited course (to which I have passed all modules to gold standard), I have demonstrated a commitment to furthering my employability by volunteering with football clubs in its media departments.

During first year, I worked with the likes of ex-professional footballer Jamie Chandler who ran the Monkwearmouth Football Academy for the University's sports website, SportsByte, as well as the university's men's first football team.

In second year I found my feet in club journalism at Hebburn Town, where I filmed match highlights for the club's social media channels, often hours after a match had finished and on the same evening.

For the past two years I have been a Media Assistant with Gateshead FC. That role is largely similar to the one I held at the Hornets, although I was tasked with filming matches for National League TV and TNT Sports' National League Highlights show in addition to recording full matches for the club's social media channels.

I am most proud of my work with South Shields FC's women's team. Since joining the media team in March 2023, I have published dozens of interviews, filmed countless matches and attended training almost-certainly each week so supporters always have something to look forward to - you can never afford to stand still in journalism!
